A native of North Carolina, Lori Shepherd Coffey is a veteran paranormal investigator with over twenty-five years of experience. 

She is also the top female Cryptozoologist in the United States.  She has spent over 15 years researching Bigfoot and the infamous Kentucky Bearilla, as well as many other mysterious beasts.

Lori is also a  dowsing and EVP expert, Lori concentrates on obtaining evidence of animal ghosts and hauntings.    This specified interest was sparked on an exploration of Greyfriar’s Kirkyard in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2007, where she picked up an EVP of a small dog’s whimpering…believed to be that of the infamous Greyfriar’s Bobby; she is the only investigator to ever capture an EVP of this famous dog.  Lori has been called out on numerous cases involving animal spirits and is considered to be an authority of this focused field.

She is the co-owner and Chief Editor of Fairy Ring Press and co-owner of The Mount Sterling Ghost Walk.  She is also a free-lance photographer whose line of Gothic-style prints has been displayed at paranormal conventions nationwide.

Lori co-founded the Gateway Paranormal Society of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, in 2008, and continues to research strange and bizarre happenings, both nationally and internationally, with her team of talented investigators

She lives on a small farm in rural Montgomery County, Kentucky, where she and her husband and son care for their abundant hotchpotch of adopted and displaced animals.
